Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks: My Collection + Swatches

I am super excited to share my collection of Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks with you! These are my favourite drugstore lipsticks of all time and I have collected quite a few over the last couple of years.

These retail for $12.95 AUD and you can buy them from Priceline or the Australis Website. The packaging is really cute, but has recently changed to a different type of packaging which I don't like as much as the black/pink tube. However, I do appreciate being able to see the true colour of the lipstick at the bottom of the tube, where as the original packaging had stickers with colour names but the sticker's colour didn't reflect the true shade of the lipstick. You will notice that 4 of my lipsticks look different than the others, and these are in the new packaging ...

These lipsticks are opaque and full of colour but also contain nourishing ingredients for the lips such as jojoba oil and kakadu plum (which is full of vitamin C), Vitamin E, Primrose Oil and Avocado oil so these are not at all drying on the lips. I swatched 15 of these babies for you guys and my lips were not at all irritated or dry afterwards! I just slapped on some chapstick and I was good to go. These lipsticks last for about 5 hours on me before I need to reapply. The darker colours last for longer and leave some staining on the lips.

Now time for swatches of my entire collection!!!

(L-R): Ballet, Salsa, Boogie Woogie, Samba, Mambo
(L-R): Ballet, Salsa, Boogie Woogie, Samba, Mambo

Ballet (Candy Pink)

This is a really pretty baby pink colour that would be great to wear everyday. I am finding that I am using this one more and more to wear to work as it is a perfect shade for the office.

Salsa (Coral Red)

This is a great colour if you are not a red lip person (like me) but you'd like a big pop of colour to brighten up your face. This is a gorgeous colour and super opaque and wearable.

Boogie Woogie (Dark Dusty Rose)

Samba (Dusty Rose)

As you can see Boogie Woogie and Samba are very similar but I prefer Samba as it is more wearable on my medium skin tone and I love it as a muted rose colour on my lips.

Mambo (Nude Beige)

If you prefer a more beige colour for your nude lips, you'd love Mambo! I prefer more pink nudes myself but I do sometimes reach for this colour when I am doing a very dramatic eye look and want to tone things down.

(L-R): Honkey Tonk, Teen Pop, Flamenco, Make a Wish, Jitterbug
(L-R): Honkey Tonk, Teen Pop, Flamenco, Make a Wish, Jitterbug

Honkey Tonk (Coral Peachy-Pink)

This is such a pretty everyday colour! This is one of my favourite colours in the collection, since it is so wearable and compliments so many different looks.

Teen Pop (Bright Cool-Toned Pink)

This is a very bright colour that would be good for night's out. It is a blue-based pink so it would probably suit cooler skin tones better. This is an effective way to add some drama to your lips and is a good alternative to a red lip.

Flamenco (Fuchsia)

This lipstick is a true fuchsia colour. I personally love fuchsias over wearing a dark red so I enjoy this colour for a dramatic lip. It's very creamy and opaque and one of the shades that lasts the longest on me!

Make a Wish (Orange Red Coral)

This colour is very unique! It looks like a red in the tube but on the lips it definitely has more orange tones and a hint of coral. This is such a pretty and different colour. I don't have any like this one.

Jitterbug (Red)

This is a true red colour and it's really pretty on the lips. I generally don't go for reds but I don't mind this one.

(L-R): Grunge, Foxtrot, Gangsta Rap, Lick the Icing, Jive
(L-R): Grunge, Foxtrot, Gangsta Rap, Lick the Icing, Jive

Grunge (Dark Vampy Purple)

This colour has had quite a bit of hype around it within the beauty community. Typically it's not a colour I would reach for on a regular basis but I was pleasantly surprised with the way this shade looks on me. I think it works well with a really minimal eye look. In this picture, I just have a sweep of highlighter on my lids with some mascara.

Foxtrot (Dark Plum Brown)

This colour looks so scary in the tube! It looks like a dark brown colour but on the lips it has more plum undertones and is quite wearable. A great autumn/winter shade.

Gangsta Rap (Bright Purple Pink)

This colour is another one which has received a lot of buzz from beauty gurus. It is such a unique colour. I have nothing really like it in my collection and it's such a great lipstick to own if you are wanting to expand your purple shades. It is bright but very wearable. I love this colour!

Lick The Icing (Lilac Pink)

I really like this colour, it's very similar to MAC's Saint Germain, however I like the formula of this lipstick better! It's a bright, cool-toned lilac colour and it is very opaque on the lips. This colour won't suit everyone but if you like cool-toned, lilac, pastel pinks, this is for you!

Jive (Muted Mauve)

Well I saved the best for last! This is my all time favourite lipstick from my Australis collection. This is a gorgeous muted mauve colour that looks super flattering on the lips. I honestly think this shade goes with any look and adds colour in a subtle way to the lips. This is my go to "nude" colour even though it's more of a pinky-purple nude.

Well, that's all of my collection! Thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection. My lips feel tired after all that swatching!

What do you think of the Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks? Which shade is your favourite?
I still have a few more I have been meaning to try!

    1. Aw thanks Lena. That's so nice of you to say. These are such good quality for the price. Australis often have 30% off sales at priceline or 2 for 1 so maybe keep an eye out and pick up one or two to try and see how you like them :) xx

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Jess! Yes this post did take a lot of effort but I know one of the main things I love seeing on blogs is how a lip colour actually looks like on a person, instead of just swatches only, so I thought that people would enjoy this. What are your favourite shades? Thanks again for your comment xx
