Favourite Products: Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics

Hi Beauties! Today I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite products from the brand Lush. Lush is a great brand that believe in using fresh and organic ingredients in their products, so that when you look at their labels, you can see exactly what each product is made from, without any nasties or chemicals. Lush are probably most well known for their amazing smelling bath bombs and soaps which fill their stores with delicious scents!

My personal experience with the brand has been a little hit or miss, but I still thought it was worth writing a post about since the products that I do enjoy from Lush, I like a lot!!! I have been disappointed in the past from some of their cleansers (such as herbalism) since I found them to be very messy and ineffective in application (lost product everywhere). I also really did not like their fresh face mask in cosmetic warrior. I bought it to combat some of my blemishes when I was having a breakout, but the scent was absolutely nasty and the product just did not work for me!

However - there are lots of other products available at Lush and here are some I would definitely recommend you check out!

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask 16.95 for 75g

Although I’ve had some bad experiences, with some of the fresh face masks from Lush in the past, I really do love this mask and buy it for myself as a treat! It is amazing on oily or combination skin types, and I like to use it to fight oil and breakouts. This mask smells amazing, and I’m not even usually a big fan of chocolate-smelling products. Cupcake contains rhassoul mud, linseed, cocoa butter and cocoa powder which are moisturising and soothing. It also contains peppermint, spearmint and sandalwood oils which feel great on the skin. Cupcake is supposed to assist to draw oil out of the skin which is great for when you can feel a breakout coming on. The only downside about these masks being made from fresh ingredients is that they need to be stored in the fridge and only last for about 3 weeks, so it is a lot of money to pay to have to use the product in such a short timeframe.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub $9.95 for 25g

This is a great product that you place on your lips to exfoliate dead skin from your lips and make them nice and soft before applying balm or lipstick. The other great part is that it is made from completely natural ingredients including castor sugar and jojoba oil and smells amazing! You only need a tiny amount of product and mine has lasted me forever! I’d highly recommend this one.

Tea Tree Water $19.95 for 250g

I love this toner/spray to prevent and treat breakouts and keep my skin clear of dirt and other pollutants throughout the day. Tea tree oil assists with any current or future breakouts while juniper and grapefruit oils assist to renew and refresh the skin. You can wear this underneath or over your makeup and it is a spray bottle.

Feeling Younger Skin Tint $19.95 for 20g

This is from Lush’s range of makeup products. The skin tint can be used as a creamy highlighter or mixed in with foundation to add a gorgeous glow to the skin. You could also use it as a primer before your foundation if you wanted to add some more depth to a matte finish. You can also use this underneath your brow bone, cupid’s bow or cheek bones to highlight those particular areas of your face. I find the texture of this product is creamy, silky and ultra blendable. It doesn’t last quite as long as a powder highlighter, but I find that it looks more natural and is so convenient to mix in with your foundation.

What are your favourite Lush products? Are there any that just didn't work for you?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I've been loving Cupcake at the moment but I agree it's annoying they don't last long and have to be refrigerated when there are so many masks worth of product in the tub! x
