Frugal Fridays: ELF Blushes

Hi Beauties! Happy Friday and welcome back to a series on the blog which I haven't done in a while. This series is called Frugal Fridays where I highlight a product that I think is great quality but also quite affordable as well! Today is all about e.l.f. Studio Blushes so if you'd like to hear more about my favourites and check out some swatches, then keep reading!

If you'd like to check out some other Frugal Fridays posts, you can find them here:

e.l.f. Studio Blush ($8 AUD)

e.l.f cosmetics (eyes, lips, face) is an amazing, affordable brand that is available for purchase in Australia both through their online site, and at Kmart stores. Their online site often hold big 50% off sales as well as other promotions so it's great they finally have an Australian site.

Today I'm chatting about their Studio Blushes which retail for just $8 AUD each, which is an absolute bargain considering they come in a handy compact including a mirror and offer a punch of pigment without breaking  the bank. These are a great find so I just had to share them with you!

e.l.f studio blush in pink passion

One of my favourite e.l.f Studio Blushes is this one in the shade "Pink Passion", it's a bold cool-toned pink and is also fairly pigmented, so just a small amount of product delivers a beautiful flush of pink on the cheeks. It's a really flattering colour, and would work on most skin tones.

Next up, my amazing sister-in-law was nice enough to send me this blush all the way from Canada, and she did a great job at picking out a perfect everyday blush shade! Often people look at a muted tone like this, and think it might make them look muddy or dull, but does the opposite. This shade called "Mellow Mauve" adds some warmth to the cheeks while still leaving a very natural makeup look. This would pair very nicely with a bright pink lip or a smokey eye. I love this shade and have been using it quite a bit over the last few weeks.

e.l.f. Studio Small Stipple Brush ($8 AUD)

Another great affordable product for this week is the e.l.f Studio Small Stipple Brush. This is another great quality product that costs just $8 AUD! I bought this after watching a video from EmilyNoel83 aka Beauty Broadcast where she recommended it for applying cream blushes and it really does an amazing job at this.

I sometimes find it difficult to apply cream blushes and highlighters but I find that this brush is precise enough to apply creams directly where you want them and then the soft bristles are great for blending product into the skin. Definitely a useful but affordable brush to have in your collection.

e.l.f. Studio Blush Swatches

I swatched these blushes on my forearm without any primer. I blended out about 2-3 swipes of product so you could get a good idea of each shade.

  1. Great post, I also love ELF blushes so pigmented and a fantastic price!

  2. Mellow Mauve is so beautiful!! Right up my alley! And I really love the look of that stipple brush; I've recently purchased some of the ColourPop blushers and I hear a stippling brush is recommended for application so I will definitely check out my local KMart. xx

I haven't tried their blushes but I do love ELF brushes, I think they are amazing for the price. The flawless concealer brush is amazing. I prefer it to my more expensive concealer brushes.

  6. I can't believe I've never tried any ELF blushes, they're so pretty, especially Mellow Mauve! :)
