Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Fervor: Review & Swatches

NARS have recently released their Dual Intensity Blushes which I have been drooling over for the past few weeks! They resemble their Dual Intensity Eyeshadows in both formula and packaging so if you're a fan of those, you may be interested in these blushes! I finally bit the bullet last week and purchased one of the duos in the shade that really appealed to me the most - Fervor. This duo contains a shimmering soft pink paired with a coppery rose gold. I was actually mesmerized (insert heart-faced emoji) by the rose gold coppery shade as I thought it would be a perfect addition to my beauty regime for the colder months, and would also look amazing on the eyes as well!

I picked my blush up from Mecca Maxima for $59 AUD (view all the shades here), so the price is steep but if you are able to splurge on something this month, this duo could be for you. These blushes are described by NARS as purely pigmented color with seamless customizable coverage. They certainly are buttery, smooth and silky.

The blushes are housed in a newly designed compact that is different than the usual NARS blush packaging. It is a mirrored square compact which is always appreciated for use on the run!

It almost hurt me to swatch these for you as the packaging is so beautiful and the gorgeous embossed pattern on the actual product itself (fellow beauty lovers, you understand the pain). I only swatched these with dry fingers, but they can also be applied wet for a more vibrant and pigmented look.

I suspect that you would have to take care when applying these wet on the cheeks as it would make the more difficult to blend. I personally feel that they are already quite pigmented when applied dry and they blend out seamlessly into the cheeks so that is how I will be using mine.

I'm happy with my choice, and I think this unique coppery rose gold shade will make a great crease or lid colour when used as an eyeshadow and I may try applying it wet on the eyes. This would also look great dusted over the lips on top of a lipstick for a more metallic finish.

I can't wait to experiment more with this duo and just thought I'd share my initial thoughts with you all in case you were wondering what these are like! 5. Such a gorgeous duo! The coppery rose gold-y one would definitely make a nice eyeshadow I agree! I wouldn't personally use it as a blush, but I LOVE the light shimmery pink one, it would be such a nice highlight too x
