Hyams Beach Candles: Review

Hyams Beach Candles Review Soy Melts

I’m a huge candle lover but have not yet done any reviews on my blog! I’m hoping over the next few months to branch out a little more to cover reviews and topics outside of beauty to keep things interesting so I was happy to review a candle and soy melts from the lovely Sonya at Hyams Beach Candles. If you love discovering new candle brands and boutiques, keep reading!

Hyams Beach Candles Review Soy Melts

Hyams Beach Candles are located on the south coast of NSW, Australia on the beautiful
coastline of Jervis Bay. It’s great to see some candles that are being made here in Australia. With amazing aqua waters and some of the whitest sand in the world, Sonya has used the beautiful coastline as her inspiration behind the hand poured candles and melts, which are made with eco-friendly soy and coconut wax. Her wide range of fruity and floral scented products evoke memories of fun in the sun, summer vacation and going on holidays! She really has so many beautiful scents to choose from.

Hyams Beach Candles Review Coco Pine Candle

I was lucky enough to be scent a full-sized candle in the scent Coco Pine ($25 AUD) which is a combination of summery pineapple and coconut. It has a burn time of approximately 40 hours. These candles also come in a large size ($38 AUD), and these candles come double wicked and have an 80 hour burn time. The fragrance is very tropical and reminds me of being on vacation in Hawaii! It’s a lovely scent and very fruity. The candle is housed in a sturdy white glass jar, finished with a glossy silver lid. The labels contain beautiful artwork as well, making them a decorative piece.

I was also very happy to receive a wide range of soy melts to try. I’ve actually never tried soy melts before, and had no idea how they worked. I actually had to go out and purchase an oil burner as I didn’t already have one. I thought this aqua oil would go nicely in my current beauty room setup.

Basically, you place a tea light in the bottom of your oil burner, and pop a soy melt at the top. The tea light heats up the melt and releases a gorgeous scent that really fills an entire room. I also find that when you blow out the tea light and the melt solidifies again the scent still lingers. These are a great way to try out some of the Hyams Beach Candles scents before you commit to buying a full-sized candle. You can purchase a set of assorted soy melts which include one of each scent for just $19.95 AUD here. They offer a flat rate of $9.95 for shipping within Australia, which is great considering candles can be quite heavy and bulky.

I would highly recommend these candles and melts from Hyams Beach Candles, I haven’t gotten through all of my melts yet but so far some of my favourite scents are Sweet Pear, Tahitian Vanilla, Hyams Secret and Fig and Coconut. The Coco Pine candle is also delicious if you enjoy fruity, tropical scents! I can’t wait to try more from this lovely boutique brand.
