September Monthly Favourites: 2015

September has been a very busy month for me with my upcoming wedding growing closer and closer and now the countdown is now just 2 weeks away! *insert squeal here* I have really tried to keep it simple with my makeup this month, with a little bit of trialling new bits here and there that I may want to pack with me for my honeymoon. So, if you're interested in my favourite beauty items over the past month, please keep reading on!

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette (17.50 EUR)

I originally bought this eyeshadow palette from the Zoeva website and did a haul post you can read here. I hadn't really got into this palette much, but since trying to find a travel-friendly palette to take on my honeymoon, I started playing with this one and now I'm truly addicted. Anyone who loves really warm and eye-popping shades, would really enjoy this palette. It can easily create day, evening or smokey looks and has a great variety in shades so you can create so many different eye looks. LOVE. Will be buying more Zoeva palettes for sure.

Skinstitut Moisture Defense Normal Skin* ($45 AUD)

I've already done a brand highlight taking you all through my favourite Skinstitut products which you can read here. This past month I have really been leaning towards this moisturiser after cleansing my face in the morning. The best aspect about this product is that it doesn't ball up or become greasy when I apply a primer over the top. It's a very lightweight, almost gel formula so it sinks into the skin quickly and hydrates any dry patches. The packaging is really travel friendly in a 50 ml squeeze bottle so this will be coming with me for my holidays!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy ($22 USD)

This is a bright fuchsia shade that leans quite cool and really makes the entire face pop when you wear it. I love this with a minimal eye look and I feel it really compliments my skin tone. This is one of my go-to shades when I'm heading out somewhere with friends. The formula is very creamy and pigmented and it stays on the lips through eating and drinking with minimal touch-ups! I love these lipsticks.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium ($49 AUD)

I've repurchased this powder a few times over the years, but with so many other products floating around it was sitting on the back burner for a while. As you can see I still have the old packaging, but this baby has hit major pan and it's because I have been using it non-stop to set my makeup each morning. It adds a small amount of coverage and mattifies my makeup without being cakey at all. I love this powder and a little goes a long way. I will be replacing this at duty-free for sure!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Medium Light Neutral ($36 AUD)

It was basically a miracle that I even got to purchase this concealer from Mecca Maxima recently since it has been out of stock throughout Australia and even in other countries in the most popular shades. I originally picked this shade up to highlight but it's a perfect match for my skin so it's more of an all over concealer for me. I still occasionally use this under my eyes but mainly to conceal any redness or blemishes I have. It blends out beautifully and doesn't crease. I am not sure if it is worth the amount of hype that it gets, I am still getting used to it but I feel like my favourite Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer does just as good a job for a lot cheaper.

Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Duality Pencil in Shell/Lace ($42 AUD)

An expensive pencil, but one of the best brow highlights I've ever used. The matte shell shade is ideal for perfecting your brows to ensure they are perfectly even and to cover any redness under the brow bone. It blends out beautifully and brightens as well. Lace is a shimmery shade with a golden hue that can also be used to highlight under the brow bone, placed in the inner corner of the eye or even on the lids. This is a great multi-purpose product and as you can see from the faded packaging, it rarely leaves my makeup bag.

I received a free rollerball sample of this from Sephora when I was in Hawaii at the beginning of the year, and I didn't start using it until a few months ago and it was instant love! I completely used up the rollerball, and when I ran out I had to buy the full size of this gorgeous scent. It's so nice, with a soft, sweet but sophisticated scent. It contains a blend of raspberries, urban iris and patchouli heart. I don't have anything else like this in my collection and it's a must-have. The packaging is gorgeous!!!

It has been a whirlwind over the past week especially since my parents have just arrived from Canada and are helping me with last minute wedding preparations! I will be posting about my new blog schedule soon since I will have more limited time to get as many posts up as normal. Stay tuned!
