Bite Beauty: Best Bite Rewind Holiday Set

As part of my Sephora US & Canada Haul (read the full post here), I picked up the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind Holiday Set which is just so cute and festive. I gifted it to myself from myself, as I thought this set was great value to be able to try a variety of shades from their matte lip crème collection. Today I thought I'd show you the shades included and what I think of the set which is available at Sephora.

If you're a Bite Beauty fan you might be interested to read about my Bite Beauty Lipstick Collection & Swatches Post here.

Bite Beauty has released this limited edition set which includes 4 mini matte lip crème crayons that twist up and are 0.031 oz each. These lip crayons are usually sold separately so you may already own some of these gorgeous shades if you're a big Bite Beauty fan. I actually held off on picking up any of the shades because I suspected that Bite Beauty would be releasing a holiday set like this and I'm super happy I waited to buy this set.

The lip crème crayons are known to be highly pigmented as well as hydrating. I found the colour pay off to be excellent, and although the colour transfers on to mugs or glasses, it's an extremely comfortable finish for a matte lip crayon, so I don't mind.

The holiday set comes in a very cute red metal tin that has a mirror on the inside. It would be easy to reuse to stash some lip balms or other small goodies.

The shades included are:
  • Cafe is a peachy-brown nude
  • Aubergine is a deep eggplant
  • Coulis is a bold raspberry red
  • Torte is a warm brown toned rose

I was very happily surprised by this lip set. I think that Bite Beauty have done a great job of including some very wearable fall/autumn shades. Although it's Summertime here in Australia, I will definitely be rocking Coulis as my holiday red lip, and I have already been wearing Cafe and Torte to work as they are very wearable, everyday shades. I also think Aubergine is a stunning darker, bolder lip that would still suit most skintones.

I like the packaging of these crayons because the fine tip allows you to use them like a lip liner for precise application and then go over the rest of your lips for an opaque coverage. Although these are minis, they are still easy and practical to use and you can try a range of shades for the same price of a single full-sized lip creme crayon.

I picked my set up at Sephora while overseas, but you may still be lucky enough to grab one at your local Sephora if you live in Sydney or Melbourne.

You can purchase single matte creme lip crayons from Bite Beauty from the Sephora Au website which you can find here for $30 AUD each.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and perhaps you already have this set in your collection. Are you a fan of Bite Beauty? What holiday lip shades will you be turning to this year?
