ASAP Beautiful Skin Pack and A+ Serum: Review

As many of you would know by now, I think good quality skincare is so important and am always trying new brands and ranges so I can share with you some of the best products I come across, that hopefully don't cost you the earth. I was recently given the opportunity to trial some products from ASAP Skincare through Ry.com.au which is a fantastic online site that offers a huge range of makeup, beauty, skincare and haircare products. I picked out a few products to trial from the range and now I'm here with a full review to share!

I wanted to try a variety of products to get a feel for this brand since I have never tested any of their skincare products before. I chose the ASAP Beautiful Skin Pack* which contains 3 x 50ml products, basically getting you a full skincare regime in one kit. It comes with a cleanser, facial scrub and moisturiser with SPF making it a perfect choice to take with you on a short trip so you have some high quality skincare on the go.

The ASAP Daily Facial Cleanser reminds me a lot of an old favourite, the Skinstitut Glycolic Cleanser and one of the main ingredients in this one is also glycolic acid which helps to decongest and refine pores. It also contains white tea which is a powerful antioxidant that is highly beneficial for the skin. This cleanser is quite gentle and can easily wipe away makeup and impurities, while also containing ingredients to keep skin clear, making it a good all rounder and perfect to travel with. I really enjoyed this cleanser (I am still using it) and would definitely repurchase the full size which is quite reasonably priced, currently 200ml for $36.27 which you can purchase here.

Next up, the ASAP Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub is an amazingly gentle yet effective facial scrub that combines Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA's) with smooth round beads to exfoliate the skin and assist with skin cell renewal. Again, it reminds me a lot of Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub, and the main ingredient listed here is also glycolic acid. If you don't get along well with glycolic acid, I would stear clear of this one as well as the cleanser. I personally found this scrub was even more gentle than the Skinstitut scrub and would work very well for dry or sensitive skin types, as well as normal to oily folks. I really think this is a good quality scrub, and it's great that you can use it daily because it is so gentle and won't dry you out. It is also unscented, making it fuss-free with no unneccessary added ingredients. You can grab the full size of this guy which is 200ml for just $36.27 here.

To complete the trifecta, also included in the pack is the ASAP Moisturising Daily Defense SPF 50+, which is a daytime moisturiser armed with a high SPF to allow you to protect your skin against the sun's harmful rays. It's suggested that this moisturiser is formulated to wear under foundation, but I personally found it slid around a little on me when I applied it under my foundation. I prefer to wear this alone on no makeup days or when I am headed to the beach but everyone is different and you may like this sitting under your makeup. It definitely has that sunscreen smell to it so be aware if this bothers you. It is quite lightweight and provides a good amount of hydration with hyaluronic acid, making it a great daytime moisture boost. You can purchase this one in a full size 100ml bottle for $40.70 here.

Finally, I also picked out the ASAP Super A+ Serum* to try. I have tried and had great results with other Vitamin A serums from both Alpha H, and Skinstitut so I wanted to try this one to see how it compares with other high quality brands that I am already using. This serum was definitely comparable and quite similar to the Skinstitut Retinol Serum I have tried in the past. The Super A+ Serum contains a cocktail of high quality ingredients including a high dose of vitamin A which can assist acne and breakouts to heal faster - one of the main reasons why I use it. It also contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin e and a range of other powerful ingredients. All I know is that my skin always looks great when I apply this 2-3 nights per week before I go to bed.  You can purchase this here for $65.86 and a 30ml bottle will last you awhile since you only need a pea sized amount.

Overall, I was quite happy I got the chance to try some skincare products from the ASAP range. I thought the range was definitely very high quality and comparable to both Skinstitut and Alpha-H who I know and trust to be very effective for me. For reference, I have combination skin and suffer from hormonal breakouts periodically. I received these products at the beginning of January and have allowed 4-6 weeks for testing purposes as I do with all my skincare reviews on my blog.
