Beauty Bin: January Empties 2016

Hopefully you would have noticed by now that my blog has taken more of a beauty-conscious direction this year, meaning I want to use up more products in my collection, get through all my extras and backups and start rotating more of my beauty products as well. I am trying to put an end to my beauty hoarder ways, sell and give away items I don't use and have a collection that only contains the products that I love and use. Last year I seemed to post my empties posts sporadically but this year I am hoping to have a new empties post for each month, so I can keep track of how many products I am getting through each month. I want to review at the end of the year and see how many products I managed to get through. Let's see what I've managed to use up!

I actually love this foundation so much but it was discontinued and you can't get it anymore. I'm so sad because I loved the formula. It was very light and a watery, thin formula but made the skin look glowing and amazing. I wonder what a dupe for this could be?
Repurchase? I would if it was still available!

You've probably never heard of this foundation because I don't think I've ever seen a review of it! I picked this up randomly and ended up completely falling in love with it. It has a similar consistency to a bb cream, but with more coverage. I love wearing this when traveling for a low maintenance look that has just the right amount of coverage. It looks amazing on the skin!
Repurchase? I have repurchased this.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer - Shade 040 Soft Beige
This was one of those concealers, I just used so I could get through it. I found the formula quite thick and it didn't work for me at all.
Repurchase? No.

This concealer is the bomb! I bought it on a whim, and I ended up loving it. The formula is thin and creamy and it blends out really easily. It's super affordable and I would highly recommend this if you are on a budget.
Repurchase? Yes I will, but trying to get through my existing stash first.

This concealer used to be my holy grail. It is certainly amazingly creamy and pigmented but it is also super expensive at $40 AUD. I feel like the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer is a great dupe at a fraction of the price so I probably won't be repurchasing this.
Repurchase? Not right now.

This primer is soooo good. I think it is quickly becoming my holy grail because I always turn to this foundation when I want a flawless finish. I do find I go through  this pretty quickly but it's pretty affordable so I will continue to buy this. This is the perfect mixture between a silicone base but still creamy and glides on smooth.
Repurchase? Yes, I already have.

This is my ride or die micellar water and I go through these bottles like they're water! I love it so much and use this to take off pesky eye makeup, when I make a mistake with my eyeliner or if I have a mascara smudge or foundation lips, it's a multi-tasker and super affordable for 400ml of product.
Repurchase? Yes!

This is such a great moisturiser! One of the few that really sink into the skin quickly and sit well under makeup while not clogging your pores. I wrote a full brand highlight about Skinstitut here, where I talk more about this one.
Repurchase? Yes, I will definitely be buying this again once I get through a few more moisturisers.

This is probably the fifth or sixth bottle of this stuff that I have gone through. My holy grail intensive moisturiser to pop on before bed when my skin is feeling dry, dehydrated and generally crappy. Great for when you may have had too many cocktails the night before and you can leave it on all day and your skin will feel much better. I featured this in my 2015 Skincare Favourites if you'd like to read more about it.
Repurchase? Always.

Another regular item that I repurchase, I love adding this to my nighttime routine when my skin is feeling congested and I can feel breakouts coming through. I love that this can be applied all over the face and isn't at all drying but gets rid of bacteria on the skin and seems to prevent under the skin pimples from coming through for me or reduces irritation on existing pimples.
Repurchase? Already have! This stuff is great.

This was a mini that I got when I purchased a Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Kit to trial the range, and as you can see I used it all up! This one is quite similar to the effaclar duo+ but feels more moisturising. It contains salicylic acid, tea tree oil and cucumber fruit extract so it is quite calming on the skin.
Repurchase? Yes, I already have.

This is a bit of a random one, but sometimes I get really dry and cracked heels so I bought this for them. It worked really well but the formula was extremely greasy, so you'd have to apply it and then put socks over the top so it could soak into the skin. I hate wearing soaks overnight so I didn't like this! It would have been better if it was more quickly absorbed and less greasy. Still looking for something better.
Repurchase? No.

I really loved this scent and already finished a bottle previously in another empties post. It is such a romantic, floral scent and I would like to try some others from the body shop.
Repurchase? Yes, but maybe try some other scents, this one is currently sold out online.

I purchased a mini pack of these hair perfumes to try them out and I actually really loved them! My favourite scent was this one which is a mixture of forbidden fruits, warm vanilla and hints of dark amber. I just love this scent and now I want to buy the full size.
Repurchase? Yes! I'm waiting for Bait to have a sale.

I am so obsessed with this stuff. This might be my third bottle and I stocked up on backups in the last Priceline 40% off sale. I find that this product is often difficult to find at Priceline, but when I do I buy it up. It's SO good to give life to your hair when it is feeling thin and volume-less. It doesn't create a lot of product build up like other volumizing sprays either. I love this for a messy bun or any updos. This was in my monthly favourites a while back here if you'd like to read more.
Repurchase? Yes!

I love Goldwell hair products and have been using them for a long time now. I have a post about some of my favourite products here. This was a really nice serum that you add to towel dried hair. It is creamy and helps moisturise hair while also preventing flyaways and frizziness. I liked this a lot but it can sometimes feel a little heavy in the hair.
Repurchase? Yes, but I have other products I'd like to get through first.

I have tried all of these 60 second treatments from Goldwell now, and they are awesome. If you don't have 5-15 minutes for the intensive hair treatments that you often see, these treatments only take 1 minute and they really do make a massive difference to making hair feel softer and more healthy. If you have color treated or damaged hair, this stuff is the best!
Repurchase? Yes!

Well, that rounds up all my empties from last month! Not too bad, but all these products didn't start off full mind you.

Product total for January: 17

Until next month!!! What products have you recently used up?
