Another month which has passed us by, which means another life update! Keep on reading to find out what I've been getting up to over the past month beyond just the blog.

Wedding Makeup
If you've been following the Coffee Break Series, you would have known I was preparing at the end of February for an upcoming wedding where I was asked to be the makeup artist. I am happy to report I had a blast doing makeup for these three ladies, and I was so happy with how it came out for each of them. Most importantly, they all said they were very pleased with the job and it lasted them all evening which has definitely given me a boost of confidence.

Makeup School
In relation to makeup, I also finally took the plunge and have enrolled myself in the Certificate II in Retail, Makeup and Skincare. After doing a lot of research into online, part-time, in-person certificates, diplomas, etc, this one seemed to suit me the best as a way to ensure my makeup skills are at the level I want, as well as giving me a boost of confidence when it comes to things such as colour theory, colour correction, proper hygiene procedures, liability insurances, etc. There is lots I already know, but there is always room for improvement. I will be doing this course over 16 weeks, each Saturday located in Fortitude Valley at the Australian Institute of Creative Design. I am so excited to get started. My first class is this Saturday!

The gorgeous +Melissa Loadsman from Loads of Lifestyle let me do her makeup!

Beauty Besties
I am lucky enough to call many of my fellow brisbane beauty bloggers my friends, and this month I got to hang out with lots of them which always makes me happy. Melissa (loadsoflifestyle) came down from her hometown to attend Tahana's (tahanalee) shower, and she stayed at my place so we got to hang out in person which is a rarity given she lives pretty far away. She even taught me how to use the funny snapchat faces which I could not figure out for the life of me, and we did each other's makeup!!! What else do beauty bloggers do? We also had a shopping date with Kate (themintedblog) and got some delicious ice cream from Mister Fitz in the valley, which I hadn't tried before and now I am converted. You need to go here if you haven't visited yet!!!

Tahana's Baby Shower
Most importantly we all attended Tahana's Baby Shower which was absolutely stunning. She has written a full post about it here, if you'd like to see more pictures. It was so nice for a lot of the brisbane beauty girls to get together and share in the exciting news and support our friend. Tahana is due to pop any day now!!! How exciting! Wishing you all the very best in your pregnancy, T!

Broncos Membership
My husband, Michael is a super NRL fanatic and loves his sports! For Christmas this year, we were gifted with season memberships to the Brisbane Broncos so we have started attending the games over the past few weeks! I'm really enjoying them so far and although sometimes you may not always be in the mood to attend, we have tickets with a bunch of other friends so once you get there, it's nice to see everyone and socialise and before you know it, the night is over. I'm looking forward to more games to attend.

Easter Fun
I have to say that although Easter crept along my calendar very quickly. I was so happy when this long weekend finally happened. I feel like I have finally caught up on some much needed sleep, and for Easter, Michael and I spent some time with his family, including an easter egg hunt (because you're never too old, right?) and a lovely Easter lunch where we all brought a plate along to share. I've had a super chilled out and relaxing long weekend, I am feeling energised now and perhaps a little heavier with a few more chocolate bunnies including in my diet than usual. Back to the gym tomorrow!

All in all, it's been a great month! I feel like I was surrounded by so many great people and I feel lucky to have a lot of positive things happening in my life. Things aren't always perfect, but I think I've gotten a lot better at seeing the silver linings! x

Have you had a good month? I'd love to know what's new with you guys!
