Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Replenishing Pearls: Review

As part of a blogger trial with The Beauty Directory, I've been given the opportunity to try out the Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Replenishing Pearls* which offer a combination of concentrated coenzyme Q10 pearls surrounded in a moisturising hydrogel of hyaluronic acid and creatine. Although I generally don't use a whole lot of anti-aging products, it's ever too late to start using serums to prevent the appearance of wrinkles! Keep reading to find out what I think of this product!

The packaging of this product is definitely extremely innovative and as you can see the clear packaging showcases lots of tiny protective yellow pearls containing the coenzyme Q10 inside. The pump applicator allows the pearls to break in the head of the product dispenser to combine and activate a fresh formula each time the pump is pressed. I think this is a great idea, and keeps the ingredients fresh and active so the skin can fully benefit from these powerful ingredients.

There are three main ingredients in this serum which work together to replenish the skin. The first ingredient is coenzyme Q10 which is responsible for the skin's energy supply and assists with skin repair, protection and regeneration. The next ingredient is hyaluronic acid which is known to increase the cell's ability to bind water and helps skin to look plump and moisturised. Lastly, this serum contains creatine which plays a vital role in skin's cell functions, especially to repair the skin when it needs healing.

The consistency of the serum is lightweight and creamy with a yellow coloring that turns transparent once applied to the skin. There is also a slight fragrance to the serum which may be relevant if you have any allergies or sensitivities.

I find that this serum is quite lightweight and applies well to the face, sinking quickly into the skin and does not feel greasy or oily. I feel like it would be suitable to wear under makeup, however I chose to apply mine in the evening. The serum does not contain SPF so is suited to day or evening use. Since using this serum, I can notice my skin feeling softer and more hydrated, even after just a few applications. This product made my skin appear brighter and less tired and dull. I don't specifically have any issues with wrinkles, but I have noticed my skin's moisture levels have certainly improved, most likely due to the boost in hyaluronic acid that the serum provides. I haven't been using the serum long enough to confirm any benefits in the skin's regeneration or healing, however I will definitely continue to use this to gain further benefits for the skin and I hope it can assist in healing some of my acne scarring and spots.

Overall, I have enjoyed using this serum and the highlights for me would be the very convenient packaging, making it easy to take along on a trip or in your overnight bag. I also think this is a very affordable serum considering the high quality ingredients that it contains. This would be great for anyone that suffers from dry, dehydrated or aging skin, or if you're like me and would like to get started with some anti-aging products in your mid 20's.
