Beauty Bin: June Empties 2016

Another month, another look at what products I have managed to get through over the past four weeks! As usual, there is a mixture of beauty products including makeup, skincare and other random bits and bobs! I've been trying way harder this year to get through products that I have purchased to avoid having a bathroom full of empty bottles or ten mascaras opened all at once. I'm doing pretty well so far I think! If you'd like to check out my previous Beauty Bin Posts, click here.

First up we have the Sakura Bath Bomb from Lush Cosmetics, which is a more subtle bath bomb with a gentle fragrance of jasmine, mimosa, and orange blossom. The scent is very calming and the bath itself soothed my sore muscles. I really liked this one.
Repurchase? I have so many lush goodies to enjoy at the moment but I would definitely repurchase in the future.

Next up, I also finished up my Ultraviolet Bubble Bar also from Lush Cosmetics which is a super cute bubble bar that comes shaped like a rainbow in various blue and purple colours. It smells floral and sweet, containing jasmine, rosewood and ylang ylang making it a scent that I really enjoy to add in to my bath along with extra bubbles.
Repurchase? This lasted quite a while since you break off pieces to add bubbles to your bath so I tink it may be better value for money than the bombs, although they are very luxurious. I would repurchase!

Starting to notice a theme here? I was very into my Lush products this month. I actually received The Comforter Shower Cream as a birthday present from my sister-in-law, she knows me well! This is a cult favourite among Lush fanatics, and although I did enjoy using it, by the time I had come to the end of the bottle, I was ready for a new scent. I found the very sweet fragrance a little overpowering, and I personally would prefer something a little more fresh. This one contains cassis absolute, bergamot and cypress essential oils making it very hydrating and creamy. It stains your shower pink which I thought was cute but others may not like.
Repurchase? I liked this, but I would try some other shower cream scents from this range before buying again.

You may have seen these Dream Dots* in my May Monthly Favourites Post, where I raved about them as a great spot treatment for pesky blemishes. Well, I wasn't lying, I was going through quite a bad breakout with my skin and went through all 24 of these patches. I found they worked best when applied over 2-3 nights so I think that is why I went through them so quickly. They are an absolute staple for me when I have a bad pimple that I want to be reduced for the next day so I take them with me for travel and attending important events.
Repurchase? I have already repurchased these, that is how much I love them! You can also purchase these from Terry White Chemists which is where I got mine.

A cleanser I have finally finished up is the Grown Alchemist Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser and considering this bad boy retails for $40 AUD I was expecting some pretty good things. I purchased mine when it was on clearance at Priceline, however I don't believe they carry this brand there anymore. Truthfully, I really hated this cleanser. It didn't really feel like it did anything. It didn't get rid of all my makeup, and it also doesn't have a very pleasant smell. I managed to get through this cleanser just using it as a shower gel on my body because I felt like it did nothing for my face, and even still it took so long to get through because I was not a fan of the scent which consisted of chamomile, bergamot and willow bark.
Repurchase? No way. This one is definitely where it belongs in the trash bin.

Since starting my makeup course, I was noticing myself going through cotton pads like they were going out of style which can be very expensive. I found these boxes of 90 cotton puffs which are just square instead of circular, for $2.80 a box so I picked up a bunch from Daiso Japan. They work really well and I love how they come in a big box.
Repurchase? Yes.

I'm so sad to be finishing up the Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Dry* which has been one of my absolute favourite cleansers for any occasion. It always leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and super moisturised without leaving it greasy. Great to add on at night over a serum without it feeling too heavy on the skin. You can read more about this moisturiser in my Philosophy Favourites Post. I love this moisturiser and think it's great and I love the scent!
Repurchase? I will definitely be repurchasing this once I get through my other moisturisers.

I have finished up my favourite heat protectant ever which is the KMS Free Shape Hot Flex Spray, there isn't much to say about this one except it works really well at keeping hair smooth, shiny and protected from drying, straightening or curling and I continue to buy this since it works so well for me! This is a little travel bottle I will keep and re-fill with a new bottle.
Repurchase? Yes, I'd definitely buy this again and it's not too expensive either.

Finally, as you can see there is still some product left in my Anastasia Beverly Hill Dipbrow Pomade, but unfortunately after about 8 months my pomade completely dried up and my Inglot Duraline or MAC Fix+ and all other things I tried could not revive it. It has gone all hard and dry and is not useable anymore. I got the shade dark brown which was also a little dark for me.
Repurchase?  I actually think I have found other pomades which I prefer more now such as the Chi Chi Cosmetics Brow Pomade so I wouldn't buy this again although it is a cult favourite of so many.

Well, that concludes my empties for this month! I didn't have very many makeup items that I was able to get through but I did manage to finish up quite a few bath/body items. I hope you guys are still enjoying these posts with mini reviews because I love writing them and seeing what I finish up each month.

What have you recently finished up?
Do you find it hard to get through makeup items too?
