June Coffee Break: 2016

It's already half way through to 2016 and only 6 months until Christmas!!! It just seems crazy to think about and I really feel like this year is flying past! I am here to chat with you all about what has been happening outside of the beauty world over the past month via my Coffee Break Series! I love these posts and being able to connect with you each month, so hopefully you feel the same and I'll continue this series each month to keep you up to date, so we can get to know each other better.

I have been keeping super busy with full-time work, my makeup course, quite a few blogger/brand events and trying to get atlest two posts to you each week. I am managing but it has been hard and some weeks I feel like I barely have time for a spare breath! I have also been trying to eat healthier, and still make it to the gym and these things have definitely suffered this past month but I am taking steps to improve them in July.

I don't have too many new and exciting updates this month. I have honestly just been feeling really busy and sometimes overwhelmed but I am enjoying everything I have committed to, especially my makeup course. I only have 4 weeks left of the Certificate II in Makeup, Skincare and Retail and we are currently in our assessment block. I have had to bring in models and get assessed on a specific makeup look, client care, and the makeup techniques used. I'm going to dedicate an entire post to my experience at AICD with the Certificate II in Makeup so stay tuned for that one coming to you soon!

My work life has also been quite busy, with a trip to Sydney that allowed me to make plans to meet with the lovely Rose from Lipstick n' Linguine and Katie from Katie's Kollective. It also meant a last minute invited to the NYX event in Sydney as I wasn't able to attend the QLD event at the Gold Coast. It was an absolute blast and I had such a great night! Stay tuned for some NYX related posts and reviews!!!

Speaking of events, I was also lucky enough to be invited to the Bloggers United AU 1st Birthday Party which was celebrated in collaboration with Lush Cosmetics. I have a full blog post coming up which covers everything about the event as well as a Lush Haul. Look out for that one which will be posted next week! If you'd like to read about the Bloggers United AU event which was recently held in Brisbane, click here to read my post.

Other than that, I have really been focusing on improving my Freelance Makeup Business, and trying to build up my client base, improve my own skills and get lots of practice in. This is something I've always wanted to do, so I am trying to get my name out there a little more and have already booked in for some weddings this year which makes me super excited!!!

That's all the updates I have for you this month! I hope you enjoy these little coffee breaks and I will try to keep them up for you each month. If you haven't read my June Monthly Favourites yet you can read them here

I'd love to hear what is new with you guys!!! Leave me an update in the comments below!
