July Monthly Favourites: 2016

Better late than ever, today's post is rounding up my favourite products over the month of July! So sorry for the delay but I promise you that this post is worth the wait! I have discovered lots of new goodies that I'm excited to share with you all! I've tried to be more adventurous this month and trial lots of new products to see what is worth recommending to you all. I've been digging a more natural base for my foundation, pastel nail shades and nude/pink lips. Keep reading to find out what products I've been loving!

First up, we have a new base offering with the Urban Decay One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector, which is described as being a multi purpose cream that acts to reduce pore size, increase hydration as well as cover imperfections as a sheer foundation. I actually find that this feels quite similar to a tinted moisturiser but the coverage is really good. When built up (which is easy to do without looking cakey),  I can achieve light-medium coverage with this base. I love the way this looks on the skin and I have been using this as my no fuss, daily foundation for the past few weeks. It lasts extremely well throughout the day, looking natural but not oily. I would highly recommend this! I tried out a sample at Mecca before committing to the full size. Let me know if you'd like to see a full review with before/after pictures.

If you didn't already read my post regarding Benefit's Magic Brows Collection, you can read it here. My two favourite products that I have tried from the collection are featured in this month's favourites post. The Benefit ka-Brow! Eyebrow Cream Gel Colour* is a much more natural, blendable version of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow, in my opinion and is a very user friendly pomade to really define the brows and get a bold shape without looking like you've just applied a sharpie to your brows. The Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil* is a great everyday pencil for a quick brow shaping - ideal on days when you might be low on time and you only want to use one products for your brows. I can get a really natural looking brow with this pencil, or for a bolder look, I just apply a little more pressure with the pencil. It is a very versatile product and the spoolie included in the packaging makes it a great multitasking product for blending in the brow colour!

I was also lucky enough to be sent this gorgeous matte black watch from Uncle Jack Watches, which is a stunning watch that compliments any outfit. This watch is very versatile, and would suit both men and women very well. This style is the Black-Black Uncle Jack Watch* that features a stainless steel case material and genuine leather strap. I have been wearing this non-stop since I received it and I have gotten so many compliments!

Next up, if you remember my Sephora Australia Haul Post, you'd know I picked up this It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector concentrate cream. It took me a while to incorporate this into my routine and begin really testing it out but now I can't stop using it. I think this works equally well as a corrector directly after primer and before foundation, or after foundation and before concealer. It sits pretty much the same for me when I have tried both these ways of using it. It works extremely well at covering over dark circles, but it is not cakey at all and does not crease on me. It is definitely full coverage and a little still goes a long way so this will last you a while! When I tried out the original Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in store, it felt too thick and cakey for my liking so I decided to try this instead. I think anyone who has a more dry under eye area would really love this product. It is very creamy and blendable and popping some concealer on top just adds to the coverage and gives you a flawless finish. I use the shade "light" and its perfect for a more highlighted look for me.

I have recently removed my acrylic nails and am back to regular nail polish and trying to treat my nails better! I have been absolutely obsessed with the Essie Nail Polish in Virgin Snow which is a limited edition release from their 2016 Winter Collection. This is the most stunning icy pastel lavender shade and I am truly obsessed. It looks even more whimsical in real life. I have been finding it difficult to wear any other shades since I picked this up because this shade is just so pretty, feminine and unique. The colour is quite opaque and with two coats applied, you can achieve a solid colour. I picked mine up from Priceline, so you better get in quickly before it's no longer available in stores at the end of August.

There is something quite special about rediscovering an old makeup favourite which is what recently has happened to me with the Urban Decay Lipstick in Native, this is an oldie and I believe they have since been repackaged to the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Range, where this shade is still available. This is a stunning nude pink shade that looks so pretty when paired with a smokey eye. It's an easy colour to wear and I have become obsessed with this shade again after not using it for several months. I really want to purchase the matching Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil now as well!

Did you guys catch my Bloggers United Au x Lush Cosmetics Event Post? If not you can read it here, where I talk about picking up this hair treatment to try out! The Lush Cosmetics Roots Hair Treatment is something I have heard a lot of people talk about and I finally gave in and bought it to try. It's a really different treatment for me, as you apply it to your hair when it is dry, and leave it in for 15-20 minutes and then wash it out. It acts as a detoxifying treatment to clean the hair from a build-up of products and also adds in lots of volume and thickness. It smells very minty and fresh and feels invigorating on the scalp while also stimulating quicker hair growth. I have fine hair so I really love this product. I apply a small amount of shampoo to rinse this out and use some conditioner as normal and my hair always feels amazing after this treatment. It feels very soft and also has way more volume and body. I really would highly recommend this product for anyone who has fine hair like me.

Probably no surprise to many of you - I have been OBSESSED with the Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette, which was recently released at the beginning of July!!! There was a lot of hype around this collection, and drama regarding the previous release of Jaclyn's eyeshadow palette which was discontinued. All I can say is that this palette is 100% amazing quality, and the formula of the blushes and highlighters are the exact same as the others which I own from Becca Cosmetics. I absolutely love every shade in this palette and have been using it non-stop since I purchased it. If you'd like to see a full review, let me know!

Well, thats the end of my July roundup for beauty, hair and nail products which I have been loving! It's definitely worth trying out new products even when you are stuck on using the same things, because you may discover something you like even more! I'd love to hear what you have been loving over the past few weeks. Feel free to leave me your monthly favourites blog post or YouTube links below and I will check them out. If you missed my July Coffee Break Post where I chat about what I have been up to for the past few weeks, you can also read that here.
