How-To: 10 Minute Spring Makeup Look

With September being well and truly here, it's starting to feel like Spring in Australia! I thought it would be a great chance to share some of my makeup favourites for a super quick and easy makeup look. These products always help to make me feel more put together and help my skin to look fresh and glowy! This routine is super easy and literally only takes me 10 minutes in the morning and then I'm out the door and ready for the day. If you're looking for a quick and easy morning makeup routine, keep reading to find out what products I use and how I use them!

I start things off with my Dermalogica Redness Relief Primer* which moisturises, reduces redness and also has SPF 15 so it's a great all in one product and primes the base for foundation. I then like to mix together one pump of my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Opal* with one pump of my favourite everyday foundation, the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. This makes the foundation more luminous and makes your skin look super glowy, while still seeing the benefits of the medium-full coverage of the CC cream.

I then go in with my Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and just do a few quick dots under my eyes and create a little upside down triangle moving towards the outer corners of my eyes. I also cover over any redness or blemishes which may not have been covered by the base. I blend it all into the skin and set my face and under eye area with the IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette using the first shade Brightening Powder in Radiant Light.

Next up, for some quick colour on the cheeks, I use the Gorgeous Cosmetics Bronzer in Endless Summer* which is the perfect shade to bronze up my face and add some warmth and a sun-kissed glow. I use a dense brush to apply this just underneath my cheekbones, on my temples, and around my chin. I then add some blush to the apples of my cheeks with a really natural peachy pink shade using the Becca Mineral Blush in Songbird*, which blends out easily into the cheeks and outwards. This is such a natural blush shade, and quickly becoming one of my go-to products!

For eyes, the Eye of Horus Shadow Palette in Isis Sun Goddess* is a super convenient solution to get a gorgeous eye look with little to no effort. It contains three gorgeous buttery, shimmery shades that look amazing just worn alone on the lid or blended together. I generally like to wear the bronze shade (chalice bronze) or the golden shade (sacred husk) all over the lid. You can pat on with your finger or a small shader brush. I then use the first shade (enigma myst) in the inner corner and underneath my brow bone. This shade also makes a gorgeous cheek highlight.

Next up, I use my trusty Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and apply 2-3 coats to add volume and length to the lashes and also get a curling effect. The formula is super black so it helps to make you look more awake and creates a great contrast against the lid's shimmer shade. For brows, if I'm really rushed, I'll just apply some Benefit Gimme Brow* in shade 3 medium and go over the brow a few times to create depth and volume as well as add some colour into the brow hairs.

Finally, to finish off this super easy look, I like to use a long-wearing lip liner so you will have pigmented colour on your lips all day. The Jane Iredale Lip Pencil in Peach* is super soft and creamy and a natural colour that suits any occasion. For some added shine, I like to also use the Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Tenderheart* which feels super comfortable on the lips and finishes up the Spring makeup look!

This is how the finished look turned out! It's nothing too dramatic, just a very simple, everyday look that's suitable for the office, a day of running errands or whatever you may be up to! This look always helps me to feel more put together and confident to face the day!

Well, that's all for this easy Spring Makeup Look! I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and you might try out something similar yourselves. I have been playing around with different combinations of products and putting in an effort to use more from within my existing collection before buying new items.
