Beauty Bin: August and September Empties 2016

Well, it's been a little longer than I was hoping since I last did a Beauty Bin post, but never fear! I have combined my empties for August and September so we can have a look at what I have used up as we edge closer towards the end of the year.

This Beauty Bin series has been one of my favourites this year and it truly has been amazing to see the things that I go through the most and the items which I thought I would get through and have been struggling to use up. If you're keen to know how I have gone with my Project Pan Project for 2016, you may want to check out my recent Project Pan Update on the blog which shows what I was able to finish up in around 6 months.

You can never go wrong with a shower gel from Dove and the Dove Go Fresh Nourish Body Wash was no exception to  this rule. I find that Dove shower gels are very moisturising and nourishing to the skin and don't dry me out. They are also very affordable and easily accessible which is why I often repurchase them when I can't afford higher end shower gels.
Repurchase? Yes, this one had a really nice scent and I enjoyed using it.

Another shower gel I managed to use up was the Dove Body Wash Triple Moisturising* which is a great all-rounder body wash that adds lots of moisture to the skin and has a very unoffensive smell. Shower gels are one of those items that I tend to go through quickly so I love being able to find good quality drugstore options.
Repurchase? This was a PR sample but I will certainly repurchase Dove shower gels in the future. I tend to prefer the more heavily scented ones because they just make me feel more fresh.

Finally, I also finished up the Delicious Skin Fresh All Over Wash which was a new product I picked up after really loving their Clean Butter Cleanser to remove my makeup. The body wash was okay, it didn't wow me though. It is described as a low foaming, natural liquid castile soap. It contains natural properties of vanilla and and sweet orange so it smells really nice. I think I prefer a shower gel that foams up more and just makes you feel more clean but if you like natural alternatives, this may be for you.
Repurchase? I wouldn't repurchase this one.It just didn't really impress me much!

I managed to get through quite a few hair products over the past two months including some old favourites. The Batiste Dry Shampoo in Mamba was a repurchase for me and it never ceases to disappoint. I have tried so many different dry shampoos and Batiste is definitely my favourite brand. The mamba scent is fruity, floral and citrus all combined in one and I personally really enjoy it from the Batiste range. I can always get an extra day or two out of my hair when I use this stuff! It's amazing and so affordable as well.
Repurchase? I think I will forever be repurchasing this stuff until I come across something I like better for the low price tag.

Another dry shampoo I finished up was the Goldwell Dualsenses Ultra Volume Dry Shampoo which I purchased from my hairdressers since I really enjoy other Goldwell products. This was a great shampoo, and certainly compete with the Batiste but was quite a bit more expensive. I definitely enjoyed using it and felt it gave me lots of additional volume for hairstyles.
Repurchase? I probably would repurchase this every now and then as a treat but for the amount of dry shampoo that I go through, the Batiste is just a much cheaper option for me.

Since going to more of an ombre hairstyle with lighter ends, I've been breaking out the purple shampoos to combat my brassy locks. I recently finished up the Goldwell Blondes and Highlights Anti-Brassiness Shampoo, which is aimed to neutralise yellow and brassy tones in the hair. It has a lavender colour, but isn't an extremely intense purple shampoo like others I have tried. I didn't notice that it really did that much for my blonde hair. It left my hair feeling soft but isn't amazing.
Repurchase? I wouldn't repurchase this particular shampoo from Goldwell. I have found their purple shampoo for silver and grey hair to be way better for me.

Finally, I also finished up the KMS Color Vitality Conditioner, which is also specially formulated for blondes or highlighted hair. I really liked this conditioner and it left my hair feeling super soft and less split ends.
Repurchase? I really liked this conditioner but I have found some others that I think work better so I probably wouldn't repurchase this one for a while.

Over the past few months, I have tried to make time each week for myself to have a bit of a pamper session. I love to remove my makeup with my favourite Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Toilettes Night Calming. I have literally used these for as long as I can remember and they are my absolute favourite. I love the way they smell, they have just the right amount of product on each wipe, and they work so well to remove makeup if you have no other options like when you are camping or maybe in a rush at a hotel. I also use them at home sometimes just to get most of my makeup off before I start my nighttime skincare routine.
Repurchase? I love these makeup removing wipes and I will continue to repurchase these, as well as the blue pack which I also love.

I have been loving my Lush bath bombs lately and have used up my Yoga Bath Bomb which is orange in colour but slowly reveals more excitement as it fizzes in the bath. This is a lovely bath bomb that smells very earthy with sandalwood and is very calming.
Repurchase? Yes, I would definitely get this one again.

One of my all time go-to bath bombs, is the Twilight Bath Bomb, which I have tried many times now. I find the scent so luxurious and calming at the same time. It is often sold out at Lush stores because it is usually so popular, so I sometimes buy two or three at a time so I always have one on hand. The scent is manly lavender with tonka absolute and it is gorgeous.
Repurchase? I would definitely keep repurchasing this amazing bath bomb!

I also used up my Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb which is a gorgeous heart-shaped bath bomb that is embedded with real rose pedals. It is so nice and mainly has a rose scent, with hints of lemon and floral notes. When this one is finished, it will leave your bath full of rose petals and make you feel special.
Repurchase? Yes, I love how romantic and special this bath bomb is and I would buy it again.

A new purchase is the Tony Moly: I'm Real Seaweed Mask Sheet Skin Purifying which I picked up from an asian cosmetics store, w cosmetics. I love sheet masks and this one was packed with beneficial ingredients for the skin with a promise to brighten and purify. It's hard to see much change with just one use but I would like to continue to use these sheet masks from Tony Moly.
Repurchase? I have purchased several different varieties of the Tony Moly masks from the range so I will try these out before repurchasing any more.

I managed to finish up one of my favourite cleanser to remove my eye makeup and as the initial cleanse in my skincare routine, the Skinstitut Gentle Cleanser* which is a very basic, fuss-free cleanser but it's perfect for sensitive skin and removes all my makeup, without any issues.
You can learn more about my favourite products from Skinstitut here.
Repurchase? Yes! I received this cleanser as a PR sample, however have previously bought and gone through several bottles of this cleanser. This is just a reliable cleanser that works. It has no fragrance or fancy ingredients but it works so well to remove makeup I would definitely buy it again.

A new cleanser that I have been obsessed with is the Rosehip Plus Organic Daily Cream Cleanser*, which I received to try out and have fallen in love with. This is also a very simple cleanser, but it has a very nice texture that feels amazing on the skin and also works to improve oil, dirt and impurites from the skin. This was one of those products where you don't even realise how much you love it until you run out and you need to repurchase it right away!
You can read more about this cleanser and RosehipPlus Products here.
Repurchase? Although this was a PR sample, I really loved using this cleanser and have since repurchased a new bottle to use.

My last little product that I have finished up is a mini Rexona Cotton Fresh Deoderant, which I don't have much to say other than that it does the job and the perfect size to pop into your handbag. I like using the Rexona Clinical Protection but this one is more travel-friendly.
Repurchase? Yes.

Well, there you have it! An in-depth look into all the products I finished up over August and September! Honestly, there aren't as many as I was hoping considering this month is covering two months, but still a pretty good effort I think! Only a few months left until my countdown for the year is complete. I wonder how many products I will get through?

Do you have trouble getting through your beauty products?
What do you seem to use up the most?
