Christmas Gift Guide 2016: Beauty Lover

Well beauties, better late than never I am coming to you just a little more than 1 month away from Christmas! These are my picks if you have a friend, family member, sister, momma, fellow beauty junkie or someone you think would enjoy some presents from the beauty world. All of these are super easy to get your hands on, and will hopefully give you some ideas for someone special in your life or maybe even yourself! The best presents are signed to me, from me!!! Keep reading to find out my Christmas Gift Guide for the 2016 Beauty Lover!

Buying presents for other people is one of my favourite things to do, especially when it comes to picking out beauty items because I love recommending some of my favourite products or helping someone find something they will love. If I didn't already have a full-time job, I would definitely consider applying to work at Mecca for that reason! When it comes to purchasing makeup, skincare, haircare and body products, there is so much out there which makes it difficult to know what to pick up for someone. This year, I've rounded up some of my top picks for you to help narrow down your search.

First up, you can't go wrong with a gorgeous luxury candle to offer someone as a special Christmas present. The Urban Rituelle Summer Holiday Scented Candle* in Sea Salt & Lemon Myrtle is an amazing summer scent that makes you feel like you're on vacation at the beach. It has stunning packaging with gold lettering decorating the glass jar, along with a vintage wooden cap that fits in seamlessly with most decor and adds something special. This large candle has an 80 hour burn time and would add some warmth and charm to someone's home.

Next, in the bath and body area, pretty much every woman loves to recieve beautifully-scented products to start off the new year. The Philosophy Shimmer Snowlace Shower Gel* is the perfect gift to make someone feel like a million bucks. The scent is a combination of frozen lemon, pink freesia, cyclamen, soft woods, fresh musk. The packaging also screams Christmas and feels very festive!

When it comes to haircare, Biology Smart Skincare have you covered with their all natural, australian products. A perfect gift for a stocking stuffer is their Pure Hydration Hair Duo Pack* which comes with a 100ml shampoo and conditioner. This is great for anyone who travels often and wants some high-quality hair products to take along with them. These products are sulphate and paraben free, yet work to keep locks looking their best!

Another great stocking stuffer that could accompany this gift is the Wet Brush which easily detangles wet and dry locks and has a convenient handle that makes it so easy to use. It comes in all different colours and is just $20 AUD, making it super affordable and a great add-on to make a super special gift for someone.

Biology also offer some amazing gift sets that make really easy and fuss-free gifts, such as their Bath Essentials Gift Set* which will give Lush a run for their money! This set comes with three large 200g jars which include one of each - Skin Smoothing Body Buff, Oil Infused Bath Soak and Ultra Hydrate Body Butter. The body buff is an amazing body exfoliator that isn't too rough and works well to remove dead skin cells and fake tan. The bath oil is perfect after a big gym session or hard day at work and the body butter is so soft and has a whipped formulation, it is amazing!!!

Furthermore, when it comes to makeup and cosmetics there are so many great products to choose from, I know it can feel overwhelming. Depending on your budget, I would highly recommend that you stop into Mecca Maxima if you're in Australia or NZ and check out some of the sets that they have on offer which are great value for money.

The Stila Naturally Nude All Day Liquid Lipstick Set is a great way to offer a makeup lover the chance to try out three different shades in a mini size, and see what they might like the best! The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks are a cult favourite amongst many beauty gurus and at under $30 AUD, this set is a great way to offer someone a high-end beauty product without the hefty pricetag. The set includes three deluxe-sized mini Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks in the classic Patina (dusty rose) shade and two limited edition newbies: Perla (pale dusty pink) and Serenata (cognac rose).

Another great gift idea that involves multiple lip products is the Too Faced Merry Kissmas Lipstick Set, which also holds amazing value from a high-end, well known brand. This set comes with four of Too Faced's bestselling liquid lipsticks in deluxe-sized mini's which include Melted Lipstick in Chihuahua and Fig, Melted Chocolate Lipstick in Honey and the new favourite Melted Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Lady Balls. The red shade is the perfect colour for that dramatic holiday lip!

If your budget is a little on the smaller side, or maybe you are looking for some secret santa ideas for your beauty buddy and you have a set limit, I would recommend checking out your local Target for some great beauty ideas. The NYX Butter Gloss Trio Set* is available and would make a perfect Secret Santa gift or stocking stuffer at just $19 AUD. These would make a great gift for a younger sibling or someone just starting with makeup as they are just tinted lip glosses and very easy to use. The Zoella range is also available exclusively in-store at Target and offer lots of very cute and decorative bath and body items that are sure to please any young girl or beauty lover. The Zoella Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist is a lovely sweet and fruity scent that is non-offensive. The main notes are strawberry and grapefruit with base notes of vanilla and musk.

Finally, my top pick if you really want to impress someone this Christmas, *ahem* if any boyfriends, husbands or partners of makeup junkies might have somehow stumbled across my page, this is what you are going to want to give her (or him) this Christmas!!! Lucky for my husband, I beat him to the chase on this one, as it was a palette I knew I wanted to both own, review and now recommend for you all! Full review will be coming soon.

The Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette is a stunning limited-edition Christmas palette that has everything any beauty lover would need to create countless holiday looks as well as day to day looks and a dramatic smokey eye for that New Years party. At just $57 AUD, the price is very reasonable for a palette that contains 12 eyeshadows, which are a combination of matte and shimmery shades. You also get a deluxe sample size of the famous Better Than Sex mascara to top it off. The palette is housed in a gorgeous pop out casing that shows off a cute winter scene that is sure to make anyone smile. It's actually a super cute Christmas decoration and keepsake for years to come! The shades lean quite neutral so there are lots of options for everyday wear and also a good mix of warm and cool hues meaning it will suit pretty much anyone! I would highly recommend this for anyone you really love that you know likes makeup, they will love this!

Well, that's all for my gift guide for this Christmas! Hopefully you've got some ideas for someone in your life that loves beauty, makeup and skincare. Maybe you even found some ideas for yourself ... if you have, you're welcome! Of course, not everyone celebrates Christmas and you may not believe in giving gifts which is fine too! These are just ideas for anyone who might be stuck with their shopping and need some ideas from a well-versed beauty junkie. I hope it was helpful.

Good luck with the rest of your Christmas shopping. If you're done your shopping, then congrats you certainly are prepared! If you aren't, don't fret you still have lots of time to get things together!
