Beauty Bin: November Empties 2016

Well, I am late coming to you with these empties from November, but I promise you I have been working hard to finish off products and this month's empties post is quite large!!! This will probably be my last empties post for 2016, unless you wanted a little review and summary of how many products I managed to get through during the year. Just let me know if that would be of interest to you. If you'd like to read my other Beauty Bin posts, you can click here.

On a mission to make it through many of my half-opened bottles of shampoo, shower gel and skincare, I feel accomplished to say that I finished up quite a few items this month! I think moving towards the end of the year, it feels quite natural to want to do some purging, cleaning and sorting so you feel all organised to start the New Year. Can anyone else relate?

Starting off with shampoos, I finished off a whopping 4 bottles, some of these were already half empty or 3/4 full keep in mind.

The Toni & Guy Intense Softness Shampoo and Conditioner* are part of the Roksanda limited edition collection where they have collaborated with Roksanda to feature products used backstage at London Fashion Week SS16. I absoloutely loved both the shampoo and conditioner and found it gave me both softness and additional volume.
Repurchase? I believe these were limited edition but I would definitely repurchase.

The John Frieda Sheer Blonde Color Renew Shampoo now has updated packaging but this was an older bottle I got from Priceline's 40% sale and finished up in November, knowing I was dying my hair back darker. This shampoo smells amazing but it isn't the best purple shampoo in terms of counteracting brassy tones. I like it more because it's super moisturising.
Repurchase? Yes, I would buy this again if I dyed my hair back lighter.

The Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner* is a great everyday conditioner and does an amazing job at making hair feel super soft and silky. I think I prefer the conditioner over the shampoo, which can sometimes leave my hair feeling a little heavy.
Repurchase? I would buy this again mainly because of the low pricetag, but I have lots of other to get through first!

Next up, when it comes to bath, body and other miscellaneous products. There were lots of empties in my beauty bin!

Daiso Puff and Sponge Cleaner has been pretty much featured in all of my empties posts! So good for washing makeup brushes and getting out stains in sponges!
Repurchase? Yes! All the bottles.

Kosmea Rose Glow Body Wash* This is a gorgeous rose-scented body wash that is super moisturising and feminine. It feels very luxurious on the skin and I loved how the scent lingered after I had gotten a shower. Not for people who don't enjoy rose scents.
Repurchase? This is a little pricey for a shower gel at $26.95 AUD, but I would repurchase as a treat!

Radox Shower Gels in Feel Active and Feel Calm These are the best for their pricetag at just $3.99 AUD each. I like that they come in a variety of scents and I have never experienced any irritation or reactions to these. I would highly recommend these if you are on a tight budget.
Repurchase? Yes.

Lush Daddy-O Shampoo This is another shampoo that I picked up when I was blonder throughout my ends. I just bought a small size to try out the formula. The colour is a deep purple and it is very dark and stains the shower, but works well to reduce brassy and orange tones in blonde hair. I wasn't the biggest fan of the scent of this one so I am still on the fence.
Repurchase? Probably not.

Nivea Invisible For Black&White Deodorant is one of my favourite spray-on deodorants and I find it works really well to keep my fresh and does not get marks on clothes!
Repurchase? Yes.

Next up, some random products that I have finished up include:

Swisspers x 80 Makeup Pads I use these babies for pretty much everything, especially taking off my eye makeup, using micellar water as well as applying toner, so I go through them pretty often! I buy these when I have run out of my cheap boxes from Daiso just to get me through until I can get more.
Repurchase? Yes, but Daiso is probably my preference as you get 90 for $2.80

Goldwell Dualsenses Blondes & Highlights 60 Second Treatment I have tried almost all of these 60 second treatments from Goldwell and they are hands down my favourite quick hair treatment that is super effective and leaves my hair feeling like silk! They are great for repairing damaged hair. I buy mine from my local salon but they are readily available online and are quite affordable.
Repurchase? Yes! I have just picked up a moisturising one now that my hair is back to being dark.

You Me & Everybody Cool It Aloe Vera Gel I literally got this forever ago in a Bellabox, when I was still subscribed with them. I hadn't even used it and just chucked it in a drawer until I got super burnt a few weeks ago and was running around the house looking for something to help with my burn. As you can see, I used the entire bottle.
Repurchase? I probably wouldn't repurchase this since it was very watery in consistency and I prefer a more gel-like aloe, but it did the job for me at the time.

Rexona Roll-On Deodorant in Sexy Bouquet I like the scent of this one but prefer a spray-on deodorant over a roll on. I bought this one for traveling since you aren't allowed aerosols.
Repurchase? I probably wouldn't repurchase this one. I think there are better ones out there.

Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes These are available exclusively at Cosco, and I generally buy a massive pack and they last me for so long! Such good value. You get them in sets of 150, which includes 4 x 30 packs and 2 x 15 packs (mini). They have new packaging now so they come in a blue package. They are a great wipe and so affordable!
Repurchase? Yes, these are my fave!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Night Calming These makeup remover wipes are pretty expensive at $7.99 a pop, so I only buy these when I have run out of my other ones or when they are on sale as a "treat". They are amazing wipes and I love them and really love their scent. I have used them for years.
Repurchase? Only when they are on sale!

Finally, on to makeup (the good stuff). This is what I managed to finish up:

Boe Professional Primer* is available at Big W and is a super affordable primer. It has actually become one of my favourite primers, and someone must have shouted it out on YouTube because whenever I have gone back to Big W to repurchase it, it has been sold out!!!
Repurchase? Yes, if I can ever find it!

Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray This is an awesome setting spray, which I especially love during the summer months because it is very refreshing. If you'd like more information about my favourite setting sprays, you can click here and here.
Repurchase? Yes, I would!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation This is definitely one of my favourite everyday foundations for a nice light, even coverage that stays on well throughout the day. I use the shade 53 Light Beige. I have gone through a few bottles of this foundation so you know it's good!
Repurchase? Yes, I would repurchase this although I have no lack of foundations in my collections!

Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil* This is hands down, my current favourite brow product at the moment. If you haven't already read my post regarding the new collection from Benefit here, you should read it! This pencil makes it so easy to get an amazingly defined, natural brow even if you have very thin or sparse brows. I have gotten my Mom onto this one and she is obsessed so it is great for all ages! I use shade 4 but they have a variety of shades.
Repurchase? Yes, I have just recently bought another pencil because I couldn't be without this baby.

Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder This is basically my go-to powder for setting my foundation every day, especially in the summer when I really want to keep oil and shine at bay. This is such a cheap product at $12.95 AUD each and I have gone through so many of these compacts. The packaging is pretty cheap but it does the job! I use shade Deep Natural or Dark Brown when I am tanned.
Repurchase? Yes, I already have several backups of this one.

MAC Cosmetics Lipsticks in Myth, Snob and Impassioned These were some fatalities experienced when I recently depotted my MAC lipstick collection into a DIY Lipstick Palette which you can read about here. I will be saving these for my Back to MAC!
Repurchase? I won't repurchase these shades for a while as I have access to them through my kit.

Mecca Cosmetics Soft Focus Smoothing Primer I absolutely loved the consistency of this primer, that has a silicone-like smoothing effect without feeling greasy at all and still feeling creamy and moisturising on the skin. My only problem with the formula is that it has a very strong floral-like scent that I really didn't like.
Repurchase? I might try another primer from the range to see if there is one that is less scented.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus This is such an amazing treatment to use when your skin is feeling congested and you're experiencing some active breakouts. I have had some great success with using this at night and waking up with less irritated and inflamed skin.
Repurchase? Yes, I haven't yet repurchased this as I am trialing some new skincare items but I definitely would recommend it.

Maybelline Volum' Express Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara I have been LOVING this mascara for awesome black lashes and lots of volume. I picked this up randomly and it has become one of my favourite mascaras over the past few months.
Repurchase? I have already bought a backup of this one! So affordable too.

Wow!!! What a roundup! My little fingers hurt from typing and finding all those links but I hope you enjoyed the massive overview of all the beauty products I have finished up this month. Looking back, I am feeling very accomplished and proud of how many products I have made an effort to use up throughout all of 2016. I definitely did some hauls throughout November with lots of Christmas releases, but at the same time I have made an effort to cut down on purchasing new skincare and haircare so I can use up what I have. I think I have done pretty well, what do you think?

What beauty products have you recently used up?
Are you planning on using more products in 2017?

Product Total for November: 28
